I voted and not for either of the "major" canidates. I used my vote to take away one measly little vote.
This is the frist time in years I voted and only then because of certian propisitons(sp?) ment something to me.
But if you live here weither you vote or not that first amendment that we fight for so very hard gives EVERYONE a right to complain or praise which ever the case maybe. This Amendment was NOT something voted on by the general public. So I say if you wanna bitch go right ahead it's your right.

Shatz basically covered what I was gonna come back with... my choice not to vote makes an impact weather you who vote wanna believe it does.
Not for one second do I believe that every vote is being counted.... that the majority wins.... we live in America get real. Voting is a ruse in itself... the process is a joke and all it does is give you the idea what you have to say matters...maybe on some small level...very very small... that may even be true?but not really?. the process itself is comforting.... however no matter what YOU decide.... if they decide they want something bad enough to be a certain way....it just is... I do not care if it was a million to one.... they would have it any way they want it in the long run and all along making you think you had something to do with it?read between the lines?really look, research and see what is truly going on..... You can not ignore that. We see it every day.... There is so much I would decide against?...and then I watch the government decide I do not matter and that?s just the way it goes.... I have to live with those choices....

Now I will say... I was more involved in the manner I actually watched coverage this year. Read the news, I listened and talked to others.... that's more then I have done ever. I am informed. But a grand puppet show is all I truly see. It's like selling a car...hell anything for that matter. Lets take a diet pill. People wanna buy what they are told is good for them. When it maybe the truth that all you have is a sugar pill and it's all in your head what you wanna believe. I simply have chosen to diet with out the pill and do it the best way I know how. Bad example maybe. But its how I feel.
Regardless how I feel weather we all agree or not in how, when and who. We have to live with it. I do just that. I cross my damn t's and dot my damn i's and I smile doing it. I may grumble about things from time to time, but so what, the constitution entitles me to that. But even in that alone, with such policies in place like the Patriot Act, the constitution is getting rewritten before our very eyes weather we like it or not. We have no say it just is. The power we have is handed to us, with extreme limitations. They even get to choose that. So I do and will just deal with whatever the outcome. I will continue to take care of my neighbor and be a good person. I will work and provide the funds to my country to spend as they see fit. I will be a good citizen and am better then most in my eyes. But my choice NOT to vote by no means, means that I don't have a voice. Its louder then you can hear or I guess have decided to. I have a strong stance. My beliefs are as strong and as vital as anyone?s. I respect those that vote. I will always respect that 'ideal' as a patriotic movement. I simply have decided that I do not believe it that single process as being remotely as effective as you all seem to think it is. I have seen so much that has told me otherwise. It?s just how I feel.
Just for the record, in regards to my son... I am gonna leave that alone and simply say this?... then I can easily say to all you that vote and are down on us who don't and suddenly you have more value in your decisions then I?.suddenly we have no value, no voice and don?t matter then... how is that ideal any different then racism.
Far as it?s concerned to any of us, we now have a president. Weather or not you voted for him We now have to live with it and all he decided for us. So let get to it!!

My husband is from Australia to those of you who dont know..he has had to go thru extensive background checks..im suprised they havnt done a cavity check yet..they have looked at everything else..i have also had to go thru all the checks along with him...he was finally awarded his work permit..yay..but guess what..the patriot act wont allow him to have a bank account...nope..work hard buddy and bury your cash in a jar in the back yard..he cannot be on my account..he cannot do anything but work and hold onto his money..now why???..he has been thru all the checks..its our goverment's odd way of doing things..sheesh
Ok..voting...i used to work for the Board of elections here in my town..a goverment job people..the things i could tell you..ballots that got lost...duplicate ballots.. and the list goes on and on..take it from someone who has been on the inside...your vote might count..but it also might not.. i wont go on and on..but i will say this..i dont vote anymore..why?? because i realized i can make more of a statement by not voting...I can only hope someday there will be more who wont vote..who will stand up and say..NO not until its truly fair..not until my vote will really count..only then can we have a real election..this that we do now..its a farce..its gotten out of hand..and I dont see anything changing..but what do i know..i only worked there..
